Detox Your Life: Natural Products You Must Try

Happy Spring! I can’t believe how fast 2020 is passing. It has definitely been a whirlwind, but I’m pumped to have a clean slate, and make some improvements. I don’t know about you, but I am a huge fan of making resolutions. This year I’ve made a few, and one that I’m most excited about is trying to switch to all-natural products. I’d love to share some of my favorites with you.

  1. Laundry Detergent
This one has been pretty tricky for me. I have the most sensitive skin, that takes any opportunity to break out in hives or a rash. Common detergents are always risky for me. I’ve been using the same brand my entire life, but I wanted to go natural. After a few rounds of trial and error – I finally found a brand that didn’t leave my clothes stinky. Ecover Laundry Detergent worked like a charm! Each of my items was soft and clean. I’m also a MAJOR fan of their delicate wash. The scent is so fresh, and it’s great for hand washing your unmentionables.
  2. Mouthwash
I can’t say I’ve ever been a die-hard mouthwash girl, but this Periobrite made me want to be! A few years ago I tried this rinse from a friend, and my mouth felt cleaner than ever. No joke – if I rinse with this at night it feels like I brushed my teeth when I wake up. It’s insane. My favorite is the cinnamon flavor, but the others are good as well.
  3. Skincare
If you didn’t know already – I own Swear Skincare. Every product is natural, vegan, and cruelty-free. Make the switch to natural skincare without sacrificing quality and results. My favorite product is Baby Mist. Each time I spray it on I’m like holy s**t my skin feels so soft, even when it’s dry outside.
  4. Body Lotion
While we’re on the topic of keeping skin soft, let’s discuss body lotion. Lotion was my first love. I’ve had eczema since I was a baby, so keeping my skin moisturized has always been a must. I know lotion like no other, so trust me when I say Alba Botanicals lotion is the real deal. It’s thick, but not greasy. It soaks in quick, but isn’t watery. Simply put – it’s perfection. I always go for the unscented version, but the other scents are nice.
  5. Cleaning Products
I’ve tried so many natural cleaning brands, and none have come close to Method. When I clean I want things to be beyond clean, and every Method product I use does the job. I love their all-purpose spray, hand soap, and dish soap. They are so easy to find at Target, Walmart, CVS, and several other retailers.
  6. Snacks
I can’t leave you without mentioning two of my favorite healthy snacks. I’m from Ohio, so naturally, I love popcorn. Unfortunately, I’ve discovered that many microwave bags cause cancer. So, I spent last year searching for my healthy popcorn fix. I found it in Simple Truth Organic Popcorn. It’s so freaking good! I could eat bags and bags of this – don’t do that though lol. It tastes as good as movie theater popcorn without leaving you greasy and bloated. Get the Sea Salt and Black Pepper flavor at your local Kroger or Ralph’s. Another snack I have grown to love is Lara bars. I enjoy foods that don’t have many ingredients, and Lara definitely keeps them to a minimum. The only problem with that is some of the flavors taste similar. One flavor that is a standout for me is the chocolate peanut butter. It is like a healthy version of a Reese’s Fast Break. If you try any flavor – I’d recommend that one for sure.

I hope you all are staying healthy, and are excited for all that’s to come. Let’s work on our health together, because let’s face you can never have enough support. Tell me what natural products you love, or ones you want to try.
